The performance requirements placed on printing machines continue to rise. This not only involves precise bearing supports for the impression cylinder, but also positioning the cylinder correctly during the “print on/off” function. Up to now, this was carried out using eccentric bearing sleeves. The impression cylinders are rotated to specific positions in order to achieve the correct distance by means of their eccentricity. The disadvantage of this method however, is that the eccentric plain bearing bushes inevitably have a degree of internal clearance.
Modern three ring bearings of series DML3E enable absolute freedom from clearance by means of supporting the eccentric in a clearance-free swivel bearing. A further advantage is the very high reliability of this solution. The problem of wear and locking of bearing bushes no longer exists. Your benefits: longer operating life and the highest print quality.
