Deep Groove Ball Bearings Generation C
Single row deep groove ball bearings are the most commonly used bearings in electric motors. They are cost-effective and have high axial and radial load capacities, are suitable for high speeds and operate with low noise. In the sealed version, the bearings are lubricated for life.
The product range of the Schaeffler Group includes all with inside diameters from 6 mm to 850 mm.
To ensure smooth running of deep groove ball bearings, it is important to choose the correct operating clearance and set a certain amount of axial preload. Our application engineers will help you choose the optimum design based on the parameters of the application. For example, the axial preload should be one to two percent of the dynamic load rating.
But with motors that are subjected to severe vibration, the preload can be increased to three to four percent of the dynamic load rating. This preload is achieved by using one or several springs depending on the bearing size and electric motor.
Deep groove ball bearings belong to the silent bearing types. The standard deep groove ball bearings from FAG, from smallest to largest diameter earn top ratings by best technical production quality of all components and by an interior design which focuses equally on load capacity and low noise.
Especially with small and medium size electric motors, low noise and less energy consumption are of extra importance. As a consequence FAG took measures to further enhance mid-size deep groove ball bearings.
The new Generation C Deep groove ball bearings are more silent, have lower friction and are available with optimized sealings.
